However, more research is needed to determine if changes in cellular response are capable of slowing the development of warts. ”

Was a study conducted to prove its effectiveness?

Yes, it was done and it turned out that 60.4% of the patients treated with green tea ointment showed an excellent response in the treatment to eliminate genital warts.

Regarding the treated men, 47.3% of the patients responded positively.

How and when the ointment is used

“The ointment should be applied directly to the warts three times a day,” said Donovan.

According to the manufacturer, it is not necessary to wash the ointment from the affected area before the next application. The treatment should continue until the complete disappearance of all warts.

It is recommended to use it in cases of:

Infections caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV) in the cervix: can be used alone or in combination with green tea extract consumed orally. It is applied twice a week for 8 to 12 weeks.

Ointment contraindications
