How to prepare a delicious green tea cake

A fairly traditional recipe in the East is this one of green tea cake. They are not exactly muffins or muffins, nor are they steamed breads. But they have something of both, that’s for sure. Ingredients:

  • A spoonful of matcha green tea
  • Three tablespoons of plain yogurt (preferably skimmed)
  • Egg
  • A spoonful of honey
  • A spoonful of sugar
  • One tablespoon of sunflower oil
  • Half a cup of baking flour (or add a tablespoon of baking powder)
  • a pinch of salt

preparation:

In a bowl mix the egg with the oil. Add the yogurt and honey later. Then continue with the sugar, flour and, finally, the matcha tea, in addition to the baking powder and a pinch of salt.
Integrate the preparation until you have a very homogeneous mixture without lumps. Heat the steamer or the element you have to cook in that way and fill some molds for cupcakes up to three quarters of its capacity.
Cook until they are ready and tender. This should not take more than fifteen minutes, approximately.
So, you’ll have these soft and delicate muffins? of matcha ready to be consumed.
